Gerhardt Christiansen 03/16/2002 CHARLOTTE, Iowa -- Gerhardt L. Christiansen, Charlotte, died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte. Burial will be in Rossiter Cemetery, Charlotte. Charlotte American Legion Post 715 will conduct military services at the burial. Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Mr. Christiansen was employed as a carpenter and did masonry work. He retired in 1985 from DuPont. He was born March 23, 1926, in Charlotte. He married Luella Meggers in 1945 in Clinton. During World War II, he served in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Luella; daughters, Alane Burkholder, Charlotte, and Pamela Logsdon, Clinton; sons, Gene, Clinton, William, Charlotte, and Jeffrey, Camanche; 17 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and sister, Lisetta Eskildsen, Charlotte.
