Hiley Dennis 02/15/2001 CLINTON, Iowa -- Hiley Dennis, of Clinton, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton. There will be no services or visitation. Inurnment will be in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton. Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Clinton. He married Ann Clark in 1948 in Clinton. He was employed at DuPont as a machine operator for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the Army during World War II. While in the service, he received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the American Theater Service Medal, the Asiastic-Pacific Theater Service Medical and the World War II Victory Medal. Memorials may be made to the family Survivors include his wife, Ann, Clinton; daughters, Sheila McKinley, Clinton, Cathy Dennis, Naperville, Ill., and Sherry Yanda, Maquoketa; sons, Donald H. Dennis, Boise, Idaho, and James M. Dennis, Clinton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
