Norma Smith 08/21/1999 CLINTON, Iowa -- Norma E. Smith, of 801 28th Ave. N., died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith was employed 25 years as a quality control inspector at Dairypak and Champion Co. She also taught school in the rural Calamus area and worked in the lunch room at Elvira School. Norma Griebel was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Olive Township, Clinton County. She married Frank Smith in 1938 in Davenport. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses Association Hospice. Survivors include a daughter, Rita Hinrichsen, Clinton; a son, Lyn DeShane, Los Angeles; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
