Alberta Smith 08/19/1999 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Alberta V. Smith, of 1140 10th Ave. N., will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton. She was a homemaker. Alberta Schwartz was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Clinton. She married Chester Smith in 1935 in Clinton. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the Victory Center in Clinton. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Evelyn Beam, Milford, Mich.; sons, David, Rochester, Ind., and Douglas, Naperville, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
