Helen Sorensen 07/13/1999 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Helen M. Ugarph Sorensen, of Clinton, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Schmitz Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Sorensen died Sunday, July 11, 1999, in Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. She was employed as a secretary at Rich's Toy Factory and Daniel Haring Construction before working 50 years as a food server and waitress at Forest Inn, the Port Hole and the Saddle Club. She retired in 1988 after 20 years at Lou Marge's, Clinton. Helen Hagenson was born April 5, 1917, in Clinton. She married Harold Ugarph in 1951 in Clinton. He died in 1982. She married Glenn Sorensen in 1989 in Clinton. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jim Ugarph, a stepson, Gene Ugarph, and stepdaughters, Judy Dodd, Barbara Dailey and Patricia Asmus, all of Clinton; a grandchild; 12 step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Haring, and a brother, Dr. Paul Hagenson, both of Clinton.
