CLINTON — Virginia W. Lange, 86, of the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton, Iowa, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at the nursing home. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, at the South Chapel of Lemke Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. At Virgina’s request her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Anatomical Gift Association. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. She was born January 20, 1922, in Morrison, Ill., to Eugene J. and Irene (Aiken) Wagenecht. She was educated at Morrison High School, graduated in 1939 with high scholastic honors and the D.A.R. award. She married James H. Ten Boer on April 13, 1941, in Morrison, Ill. They later divorced. She then married Raymond P. Lange on November, 1951, in Clinton, IA. They later divorced.She had been employed with the Curtis Company, C.E. Armstrong and Son, Commonwealth Loan Company, Beneficial Finance and the American Red Cross. She was then employed by the International Paper Company, formerly Lord Baltimore Press, from January 1964 until retiring in January 1986. She also served as the only manager of the International Paper Employees‚ Credit Union from March 1976 until October 15, 2001, when she retired after working 60 years. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and 55 Alive. Survivors include one daughter, Christine R. (Mrs. David) Drury of Camanche, IA; five sons, Terry Ten Boer of Thermopolis, WY; Thomas Ten Boer, West Point, UT; Charles E. Lange, Clinton, IA; Jay A. Lange, Camanche, IA; and Steven W. Lange, Clinton, IA; fourteen grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one brother, Eugene (Margaret) Wegenecht, Houston, TX; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne H.
