CLINTON — Carol J. Geltz, age 56, of Clinton, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Larry and Joe Comstock, Brandon Baker, Don Kane, Brian and Paul Jones. Carol was born on Feb. 16, 1952, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Anthony and Erma (Kane) Geltz. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. She worked at Jewel-Osco as a service clerk for over eight years. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door. Carol enjoyed bowling, search-a-word puzzles, reading and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Carol is survived by six sisters, Marjorie (Dale) Baker, Linda (Rodney) Alexander, Susan Baker, Beverly (Larry) Comstock, Janet Jones, and Julie Geltz all of Clinton; two brothers, Rick Geltz and David (Beth) Geltz both of Clinton; and several nieces/nephews and great-nieces/nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.Death date: Dec. 12, 2008
