DEWITT — Mrs. Eunice H. Anderson, 90, DeWitt, Iowa, died Saturday evening, December 6, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt. Mrs. Anderson was born Eunice Helen Witt, April 22, 1918, in Fingle, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Theodore and Augusta (Schuch) Witt. She married John A. “Jack” Anderson March 22, 1947, in St. Charles, Illinois. Eunice was a legal secretary much of her life. She later worked side by side with her husband in the family business, Fauser Development Company, DeWitt. Eunice retired in 1988. Jack preceded Eunice in death June 14, 1998. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, and the prayer warriors. Her family was her life and she loved them all dearly. She was a great baker and enjoyed canning, traveling and family picnics. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Pamela Anderson, Grand Mound, and Barry and Patricia Anderson, DeWitt; granddaughters, Jessica (Jeremiah) Sunday, Amanda Anderson, Melissa (Andrew) Nolin, Kesha (Mike) George, Cristie Anderson and Renee Anderson; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Sunday and Megan and Kasey George; stepgrandchildren, Cassondra (Mark) Gilmour and Jenessa Kyarsgaard; a stepgreat-grandson, Caleb Gilmour; a sister, Beatrice Meeks, Geneva, Illinois; nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Mel and Joyce Peahl and Dr. Bud Frommelt. In addition to her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wallace Witt, and sisters, Olga Ellsbury, Sophie James, Anna Hess, Alma Layden, Martha Lance, Frances Renner, Esther Jensen and Ida Schwabe. Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Timothy Carr presiding. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Memorials may be made to The DeWitt Adults Special Olympics. Condolences may be expressed at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com.Death date: Dec. 6, 2008
