DEWITT — Betty J. Zerrien, age 71, passed away at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on Friday, November 28, 2008. She was born October 1, 1937 in DeWitt, Iowa. She is survived by her husband Jack Zerrien, whom she married on June 17, 1956 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa; daughters Karen (Tubie) Farley, Susan Zerrien; son Jack (Mercedes) Zerrien; grandchildren Paul, Michael, Richard and Mary Zerrien and Sienna Farley; brothers George (Bonnie) Witt and Adolph (Ruth) Witt, Jr.; sister Shirley Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Louise Witt; sisters Marge Scholl and Darlene Smith. The family is requesting that no flowers be sent; please make a donation to the American Lung Association, 1950 Arlingate Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43228 in her memory.
