CLINTON — Helen R. Myers, 83, of Clinton, died Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, Iowa.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, Clinton, with services afterward at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Fred Schauer, of Chancy Lutheran Church, will be officiating. Interment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa.Memorials can be made to the family.She was born December 6, 1924, in Sabula, Iowa, to Harry and Mabel (Marr) Stoddard. She was educated in Clinton, Iowa. She married George Myers on December 15, 1986. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. “She was little, but mighty, and loved by all.”Survivors include three sisters, Shirley “Jeanie” Huling, Clinton; June (Charles) Knight, Clinton; Carol Jones, Clinton; two brothers, Vern (Buck) Stoddard, Clinton; Dennis (Lou Ellen) Stoddard, Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sister, Violet Main; brothers, Lynn, Fred and Jack Stoddard.To send online condolences go to www.lemkefh.com.Death date: Nov. 27, 2008
