The Clinton Herald Thursday May 7, 1925 p. 6 John Hagberg, for 45 years a resident of Clinton and a former member of the Clinton police force, passed away at 11:20 o'clock last night at his home, 802 Stockholm street, after an illness of six weeks' duration. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the late home. burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mr. Hagberg was born February 21, 1860, in Toksfors, Vermland, Sweden, where he lived until he was 20 years old and then came to American in 1880, coming directly to Clinton where he has since resided. He was united in marriage to Miss Nettie Nelson, 18 years ago and she survives, together with two brothers, Gust. Hagberg, of Clinton, and Nicholas Hagberg, of Sweden. Mr. Hagberg was a member of the Clinton police force for 25 years and was retired to private life on a pension four years ago.
