CLINTON — Fred Hine, 87, of Clinton, formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Rev. E.C. Clair Lathrop, associate pastor of First Reformed Church, Fulton, officiating. Casket bearers will be Roger Keisel, Darrell Keisel, Randy DeWeerdt, Darrell Dornbush, Jeff Nelson, Gordon Sissing and Harlan Houzenga. Burial will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton.Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Fred Hine was born December 25, 1920, in Garden Plain Township, IL, the son of Herman and Martha (Haan) Hine. He attended East Clinton Grade School, East Clinton, IL, and he also attended Fulton High School in Fulton.Fred married Helen L. Shipma on September 21, 1946, in Fulton. She died March 31, 2006. Fred considered his late wife to be “the love of his life.” He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the former Clinton Corn Processing Company for many years, from where he retired. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton.He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Jennie Decker, Fulton, IL, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and one sister, Helena Keisel. Memorials may be made to First Reformed Church, Fulton.
