CLINTON — Connie Louise Seifert died Sunday at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.Funeral services will be Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.She was born in Charles City, Iowa, June 5, 1949, the daughter of Clarence L. Luck of Nashua, IA, and Norma Jean Heinselman Luck of Charles City, IA. She was raised in the Plainfield/Waverly area in Iowa.She graduated in 1967 from New Hampton Community, New Hampton, Iowa, summa cum laude. In 1998, she was a graduate of Clinton Community College; named USA Today’s All-Iowa Scholar for Community Colleges, member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society; degree in Business Administration/Accounting in 2001 from Western Illinois University, Board of Trustees Degree, Business Administration concentration 2007 Ashford University and Master’s in Business Administration 2007 Ashford University.She owned and operated CMP On-Site Drapery Cleaners. She managed Super Wash North, LeClaire and Colona, IL, Super Wash’s for EC Corporation for 12 years. She was the recipient of Super Wash’s Earl Bryson Award for excellence in customer service in 1998. She was the clerical and enrollment advisor at Ashford University for 2 years and worked at John Deere Information Systems in Moline, IL, after getting her MBA until her illness forced her into retirement.She married Gary L. Douglas on October 8, 1967, in New Hampton. They later divorced. She then married F. (Mick) Seifert on November 9, 1991 in Denver, Iowa. They made their home in Clinton, IA.She was president of the Clinton Community College Alumni Association, past secretary of the Retired Eagle Activity Club (REAC).She was an avid reader, enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, needlework, crossword and word puzzles, camping. She particularly delighted in her grandchildren and spending time with them.Survivors include her husband, Mick; two children, a daughter, Colleen (Vern) Blauwkamp, Holland, MI; a son, Daniel (Irene) Douglas, New Hampton, IA; stepchildren, Tracey (David) Revelle, Davenport, IA; Mic (Jennifer) Seifert, Davenport, IA; Chad Seifert, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Ashley, Alyssa Underwood, Holland, MI; Leanne and Shawn Douglas, New Hampton, IA; stepgrandchildren, Katie, Hannah and Gracie Revelle; Alec and Shelby Seifert, Jaiden and Audra Seifert, DeWitt, IA; sister-in-law, Erin Luck, South China, Maine; brothers-in-law, Jack Seifert, Todd (Shelly) Seifert; Steve; all of DeWitt, Jerry (Judi) Kirkpatrick of Bettendorf; Candace (Dennis) Faust, Lincoln, NE; and mother-in-law, Mary Seifert, DeWitt, IA.She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, William Clarence; infant sister, Carol Lynn; brother, Christopher.Pallbearers will be Wayne Chandler, John Kane, Dustin Enwright, Ray Bowman, Gaylord Bowman and Pat McCuthon.A memorial fund has been established.Death date: Oct. 12, 2008
