ERIE, Ill. — Catherine R. Dornbush, 83, of Erie, died Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services will be Monday, 1:30 p.m. at Newton Zion Reformed Church, Erie, with burial in the Erie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.Catherine was born February 17, 1925, in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Dennis and Effie Huizenga Feldt. She married Harlan M. Dornbush on September 30, 1955, at the Second Reformed Church in Fulton. She took care of her family and helped out on the farm. Catherine loved flowers and enjoyed gardening.Survivors include her husband, Harlan; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Roy Dowell, East Moline; son, Mark Dornbush, Erie; niece, Patricia Horner, Loveland, CO; and nephew, Robert Aiken, Estes Park, CO. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Aiken.Death date: Oct. 16, 2008
