CLINTON — Ruth M. Hauswald, age 92, of Clinton, died Saturday Oct. 4, 2008, at the Alverno Health Care Facility. According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services; cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, IL. Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church Radio Fund. Ruth was born on July 3, 1916, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Emil and Edith (Shumacher) Neibuhr. She married Homer Hauswald on July 20, 1956, in Clinton. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and walking. Ruth is survived by her sister, Lorraine Grant of Elmira, NY; a stepdaughter, Ann Bolton of Coca Beach, FL; and a stepson, Charles Hauswald of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.Death date: Oct. 4, 2008
