CLINTON — Kendall L. “Kenny” Dean, 72, of Clinton, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services on Monday. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Kenny was born in Clinton on November 20, 1935, the son of Kendall D. and Grace B. Huling Dean. He married June Stoddard on February 4, 1957, in Clinton. Kenny served for four years with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War being discharged in 1958. Kenny had worked as a draftsman, a commercial artist and most recently at Wildwood Farms. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and wood carving. Kenny is survived by his children, Denise (Steven) Johnson Clinton, Theresa (Joe) Stevens Bolingbrook, IL, Melissa (Marvin) Hill Clinton, Kenny (Renee) Dean Clinton and Angie Weiss Clinton; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four sisters, Gloria (Robert) Kemp Mediapolis, IA, Sharon (Arnold) Till Camanche, Sandra (Richard) Green Preston and Carol (James) Mueller Epworth, IA; and four brothers, Ronald (Charlette) Dean Clermont, FL, Charles (Karen) Dean Orlando, FL, Robert Dean Moline, IL and George (Linda) Dean Gillette, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Kevin and James; two grandsons, Chad and Joseph; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, James. Memorials may be made to M.D.A.
