CLINTON — Joan M. Hanegan, age 71, of Clinton, died Thursday Oct. 2, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Joan was born on Jan. 25, 1937, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Vincent and Elizabeth (Determan) Lord. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1955. She married Charles Hanegan in Garden Grove, CA, he died in 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of F.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary and R.E.A.C. and the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary. Joan is survived by her brother, Gene (Julie) Lord of Clinton; and three sisters, Betty Petersen of Clinton, Audrey Lemanski of Clinton and Merrette (Allan) Horn of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.Death date: Oct. 2, 2008
