CLINTON — Edna M. (Keller) Creveling, age 84, of Clinton, died Thursday Oct 2, 2008, at West Wing Place in Dewitt. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded and the inurnment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche, next to her parents, Albert and Maude Keller. Memorials may be given to Clinton Public Library. Edna was born on Feb. 27, 1924, in Lyons, IA, the daughter of Albert and Maude (Walker) Keller. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1942. She married Samuel Creveling on Sept. 21, 1951, in Clinton. She was a homemaker and worked at the Clinton Public Library for over 13 years, where she was responsible for the Homebound Program, which involved getting books to nursing homes and homebound people. She received the Award of Excellence from the State of Iowa for her dedication, support and her hard work, which improved the program over the years. Edna was involved extensively with the Lyons High School historical research and memorial dedication in 2005. Edna is survived by her five children, Ron Van Zuiden of San Jose, CA, Kathy (Bob Martin) Creveling of Hume, VA, David (Nancy Decker) Creveling of Sibley, IA, Gloria (Wayne) Robinson of Smithville, TN, Grace (Alan Glodowski) Creveling of Naperville, IL; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Keller of Clinton and Vivan Keller of Jupiter, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and four brothers. Death date: Oct. 2, 2008
