FULTON, Ill. — Carol L. Becker, 66, 1000 12th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL. There will be no visitation or funeral service. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. At her request, Carol’s body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program in Iowa City, IA. Memorials may be made to Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL. Donations may be directed c/o Dennis Becker, P.O. Box 291, Fulton, IL. She was born September 27, 1941, in Freeport, IL, to Paul V. and Shirley (Halstead) Noeske. She was educated in Freeport Grade Schools. She was a graduate of Freeport High School, Freeport, IL. She married Dennis R. Becker on September 3, 1960, in Freeport, IL. He survives. Carol’s first passion was being a homemaker. She also farmed with her husband in the Spring Valley area of rural Fulton. Following retirement, she and Dennis enjoyed traveling. Carol was affiliated with First Reformed Church, Fulton, IL. She enjoyed camping. She worked with the special needs children of the Bi-County Special Education School. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; one daughter, Tammy Becker of Fulton, IL; one son, Jeff (Julie) Becker of Clinton, IA; four grandchildren, Lynn and Brandy Boelkens, Jason Zuidema; Mariah Becker; and three sisters, Sara (Norm) Jordan of Santa Fe, NM, Mary (Marv) Tichler of Morrison, IL, and Donna (Bob) Wade of Morrison, CO.
