CLINTON — Paul J. Clary, 77, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 North second St. Funeral services will be held that same day at 1 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery. Paul Joseph Clary was born February 5, 1931, in Burlington, IA, to Kenneth and Mary Carmella (Spain) Clary. Paul served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He worked at Sivyer Steel Company for 30 years. Paul liked to fish, hunt and spending time on the Mississippi Belle II. Surviving him are his daughters, Paula (Paul) Goynes of Grapevine, TX, and Cathy (Brian) Van Dolah of Muscatine, IA; sons, James Clary of Clinton and Richard (Marianne) Clary of Tempe, AZ; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
