MORRISON, Ill. — Donna Mae Petersen, age 64, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home and Thursday 9:30 a.m. until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brad Hirl, Greg Hoppe, Dale Michl, Rodney Anderson, Doug Pennock, Dan Bitler, Tom Tietjens, Thurman Stuart and Richard Petersen. Honorary pallbearer will be Dan Schultz. Following the graveside, a luncheon will be served at the church. Donna was born on July 7, 1944, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of William R. and Florine A. (Schwartz) Schultz. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. She married Sheridan W. Petersen on Nov. 30, 1975, in Tucson, AZ. Donna worked at Clinton Recreation Lanes and the Plaza Bowl as a “Counter Control Person” for many years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, antiquing, flower gardening, sketching, baking, country dancing, craft shows and driving her Mustangs. She coached T-Ball, volunteered with Boy Scouts, active with Clinton Junior Bowling for many years and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Donna is survived by her husband, Sheridan Petersen of Morrison, IL; four sons, Brent (Kathy) Stoecker of Morrison, IL, Chet (Barb) Stoecker of Fulton, IL, Phillip (Melissa) Petersen of Goose Lake, IA, and Matthew (Renee) Petersen of Camanche; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Herb) Meyermann of Goose Lake and Linda (Delbert) Gruhn of Clinton; and a brother, Robert (Paula) Schultz of Clinton.
