BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Carla Jo Prestley, 49, of Boulder City, died there August 11, 2008.There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation rites were accorded, and inurnment took place Thursday at Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, Ill. The Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Carla Jo Prestley was born in Clinton, Iowa, on March 24, 1959, the daughter of Alvin “Red” and Mary (Jacobsen) Prestley. She was educated in the Boulder City grade schools and graduated from Boulder City High School in Boulder City. Carla married and divorced at an early age. She worked as a seasonal Park Tech at Boulder Beach in Boulder City, Nev., and then worked in construction in Long Island, N.Y. She was also employed at Swiss Colony in Illinois and a variety of other positions. She had also been a caretaker for various family members. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Carla is survived by her mother, Mary Prestley of Fulton, Ill,. and one brother, Jim (Donette) Bouvia of Long Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin “Red” Prestley.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
