CLINTON — Lawrence E. “Hanzie” Finn, age 63, of Clinton, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Mercy North Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Camanche. Visitation will be held Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility or Clinton County Community Care Center. Lawrence was born on Feb. 13, 1945, in Clinton, the son of William and Kathryn (Howard) Finn. He had worked at the Skyline Center in Clinton. He was baptized in the Catholic faith. He lived with his parents til their death then lived with his sister, Nancy Grim, of Camanche for 17 years. He enjoyed listening to music, boating, dancing, going for car rides, cake and ice cream. Lawrence is survived by his sister, Nancy (Larry) Grim of Camanche; two brothers, William (Judy) Finn Jr. of Pekin, IL, and James (Mary Lou) Finn of Clinton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
