MRS. CHARLES CHASE

Mrs. Charles Chase, 61, of 1810 N. 8th St. died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Jane Lamb hospital. She had been a patient there since suffering a heart attack Tuesday.

Friends may call beginning this evening at the Shadduck funeral home. Rev. M.E. Lesher will conduct funeral services there Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

The former Katherine Hinz was born July 28, 1893, in Clinton, the daughter of Henry Hinz and Bridget Bradley Hinz. She spent her entire life in this community. Her marriage to Charles Chase took place July 21, 1921 in Rock Island, Ill.

Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Marie Meddock, Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Lillian Anderson and Mrs. Albert Walker, Clinton, Mrs. George Grim Jr. Coon Rapids, and Mrs. Harold Wilson, Camanche, three sons Ralph J. Bartels, Clinton, A-3c Walter E. Chase, serving in Holland, and Charles T. Chase, Glenwood; 11 grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Jack Armstrong, Clinton; three brothers Hans and William of Clinton and John Henry of Maquoketa, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two children.
