MAQUOKETA — Edward C. Spindler, 72, of Maquoketa, died Friday at his home.A natural farewell has taken place. There will be no public visitation or services. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of arrangements. Death date: Aug. 1, 2008
