Petersville Lady is Dead
Mrs. Bevins Passes Away at Hospital at Maquoketa
Petersvill, IA, - Sept 27, The death of Mrs. Richard Bevins, of this place occurred Wed morning at a hospital at Maquoketa where she was taken last week. An infant daughter born Monday only lived a day. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved husband and three children, now left motherless. The deceased came here from Parnell, IA, with her husband and family about ten years ago and had resided here since. She was a good Christian woman devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends, to whom she had endeared herself during her short residence among them. The funeral took place Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Immaculate Conception church. Rev. Father T. O'Dowd celebrated mass, after which he delivered a very touching sermon. The remains were consigned to their last resting place in the cemetery adjoining. The pallbearers were A.J. Mallon, John goodall, Frank Donahue, W.J. Spain, Wm. Watters, Patrick Costello.
