MORRISON, Ill. — Paul R. Nugent, 57, of Morrison,died Wednesday at his home.Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Morrison, with Rev. Father William Antillon, Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment and graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.Memorials may be made to Masses and Mercy Hospice, Clinton. Paul Nugent was born October 18, 1950, in Davenport, the son of Raymond Joseph and Mavis Martha (Puck) Nugent. He was educated in the Durant and West Liberty grade schools, and was a 1968 graduate of Central Community High School, DeWitt. He was also a graduate of the Morrison Institute of Technology, Morrison.He married Lana J. Fulrath in Rock Falls, Ill., on December 14, 1974. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Custom Pak in Clinton for 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was past president and coach of Morrison Little League and a Morrison Girls softball league coach, as well as a board member of Morrison Institute of Technology. His hobbies included golfing and driving his Corvette. He also enjoyed attending his children’s athletic events. He is survived by his wife, Lana; one daughter, Rebecca Nugent, of Kenosha, Wis.; one son, Bryan (Elizabeth) Nugent, of Morrison; his second mother, Helen McDonnell-Nugent, of Wheatland; eight sisters: Karen (Brian) Johnson of Waterloo; Patricia Gebhardt and Judy Rupp, both of Wheaton, Ill.; Kay (John) Grillot of Washington, Ill.; Ann (Jason) Witt of Cumming, Ga.; Jean (Bill) Wright of League City, Texas; Margaret (Andrew) Beierwaltes of Niles, Ill.; Mary (John) Eldracher of Broadway Twp, Mich.; nine brothers: Michael (Nancy) Nugent of Chesterfield, Mo.; Roy (Nancy) McDonnell of Verona, Wis.; Dale (Sheri) Nugent of Davenport; Terry (JoAnn) McDonnell of Oxford Junction; John (Joellyn) McDonnell of DeWitt; Bill (Elizabeth) McDonnell of LaGrange, Ill.; Joe (Carmen) Nugent of Iowa City; Dan (Holly) Nugent of North Liberty; and Jim (Jennifer) Nugent of Peoria, Ariz.
