Countryman, Elizabeth A. "Beth" View/Sign Guest Book

FULTON, Ill. — Elizabeth A. “Beth” Countryman, 63, of Fulton, died Tuesday at her home.A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton, with Rev. Dr. Stanley Bomgarden, Pastor of Fulton Presbyterian, officiating. This will be followed by luncheon fellowship at the church. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church. The Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. At her request, Beth’s body has been donated to the University of Iowa Dept. of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Iowa City.In lieu of flowers, memorials to: LUNGevity Foundation, Chicago, Ill. Beth was born October 15, 1944, in Prophetstown, Ill., the daughter of Stanley E. and Elizabeth A. (Gurel) Robinson. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and was a 1962 Graduate of Prophetstown High School. She attended Northern Illinois University and later graduated from the Copley School of Nursing. Beth married Dennis Countryman on July 24, 1971, in Prophetstown.She was employed as a Registered Nurse by the former Jane Lamb Hospital, Clinton. Later, she worked at the Bluff Medical Center, Clinton, and Medical Associates clinics, in both Clinton and Morrison, Ill., retiring in 2005. She was a member and director of the Fulton Presbyterian Church Choir and also served as a Sunday school teacher. Beth also served as a Cub Scout leader and T-Ball coach. Beth enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, playing cards, hiking, snow shoeing and fishing. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; one daughter, Jennifer (Steven) Trujillo of Denver, Colo.; one son, Michael (Tracy) Countryman of Arvada, Colo. Beth was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Catherine Brigl; three brothers, Neil, Thomas and David Robinson.To send online condolences, go to www.bosmarenkes.comDeath date: July 22, 2008
