PORT BYRON, Ill. — Sherri R. Lack, 43 of Port Byron died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at home after an 8-year battle with breast cancer. Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at the Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.The former Sherri Renee Housenga was born May 25, 1965 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Everett “Dooder” and Jeane Baker Housenga. She married Derrick Lack on July 7, 1995 in Port Byron. She enjoyed camping, traveling, Harley rides and spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her husband,Derrick, her mother, Jeane Housenga, Fulton, a step-daughter, Katelyn Lack, Rapids City, a step son, Bryce Lack, Port Byron. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett “Dooder” Housenga.Death date: July 17, 2008
