CLINTON — William P. “Gov” Wallace, age 63, of Clinton, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held Wednesday 5:00 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at DJ’s Blues Club in Clinton. William was born on May 6, 1945, in Des Moines, IA, the son of Fred and Ollie (Richards) Wallace. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Deborah Pinegar on Dec. 18, 1997, in Clinton. He worked as a welder at the Chicago Northwestern Railroad car shop in Clinton since 1972, where he retired in 1991. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and Karaoke. William is survived by his wife, Deborah of Clinton; three sons, Fred Wilson of Hayward, CA, Randy Hartnell and Donald Loechel both of Clinton; two daughters, Michelle Kehrberg and Maria Michaelsen, both of Clinton; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Millie Bagley of Pleasant Hills, IA; and many nieces and nephews.Death date: July 12, 2008
