CLINTON — Doris M. Kjergaard, age 88, of Clinton, died Wednesday July 2, 2008, at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Private family services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott, Dave, Bob, Randy and Terry Hudson, Kevin Murphy, Todd and Curt Kjergaard. Doris was born in Clinton, Iowa, on July 20, 1919, the daughter of George and Catherine Loehndorf McLaughlin. She married Anthony Kjergaard on May 28, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death in January 1992. Doris is survived by her Daughter; Kathy (her husband Al) Hudson of Clinton, IA, a Son; Jack (his wife Ev) Kjergaard of Bay City, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Dawn Murphy, Scott, Dave, Bob, Randy and Terry Hudson, Todd and Curt Kjergaard; 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (his wife Roberta) McLaughlin of Princeton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.Death date: July 2, 2008
