CLINTON — Milton Gary Martin, 72, of Clinton, passed away June 18, 2008, in his sister’s home.A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive, with Rev. Van Flowers officiating. A private burial will follow. Milton was born May 6, 1936, in Clinton to Louis and Delcena (Garland) Martin. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1968. He was employed with Chemplex as an electrician from 1968 until his retirement in 1992. He was a talented electrical craftsman; and he loved to fish. Survivors include his daughter, Christina Martin of Davenport; 1 granddaughter, Darian Martin, also of Davenport; 2 sisters, Joye Brantley of Clinton, Vonette (Larry) Allen of Rantoul, Ill.; and 1 brother, Greg Martin of Portland, Ore.His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.Death date: June 18, 2008
