MCDONNELL, Michael R.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home for Michael R. “Mike” MCDONNELL, 49, of 520 Seventh St., Camanche.
He died Monday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home.
The Rev. Francis MCDONNELL will officiate. Visitation will be from2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve KASTERKE, Jeremy and Jason BERGGREN, Kevin and Keith BRADLEY and Michael MASTRAW.
He was born Oct. 15, 1948, in Clinton, to John “Bernie” and Virginia KING MCDONNELL. He married Debra A SELLERS, Oct 21, 1978. He later married Dorene WITT, Sept 14, 1996, in Goose Lake.
He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School.
He had been employed with Champion Packaging and as a auto mechanic with Heritage Motors, Lee Paasch Ford and Joe Bos Shell. He drove for the Mertz Bsaking Co., for 14 years, retiring in 1992. After he retired he drove veterans to Iowa City.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amber D. MCDONNELL of Morrison, Ill.; a son, Brian M MCDONNELL of Morrison; his father of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Patty (Clyde) BRADLEY of Camanche; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother and nephew.
