1933 - 2003

Services for Florence V. Mankowski, 69, Clinton, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clinton. Private burial will be in Virginia.
Visitation is 1-4 and 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday at Lemke Funeral Home, Clinton.
Mrs. Mankowski died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton.
She was employed more than 10 years at Mississippi Belle Casino. Before that, she worked in local hotel management.
Florence Velleca was born March 9, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She married H.W. Maddie in 1956 in New York. She married James Mankowski Sr. in 1965 in Clinton.
Memorials may be made to a local Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Survivors include sons, Steven Maddie and James Mankowski Jr.; five grandchildren; and a brother, John Velleca, Richmond, Va.
