1912 - 2003

Helen M. Swanson, 90, Citrus Heights, Calif., formerly of Clinton, died Jan. 2, 2003.
Burial was Friday in Pine Grove Cemetery. At her request, no services will be held. Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Swanson taught four years in country schools and then she stayed home and kept house and cared for her mother. In 1963, she moved to Seattle and worked in a library there until her retirement in 1977.
She was born in a farm house near Camanche on Jan. 3, 1912.
Survivors include sisters, Eleanor Kroeger, Washington, D.C., and Lillian Whalen, Clifton, Colo.; and brother, Bennie Swanson, DeWitt.
