Emma M. Mohr, 86, of Wheatland Manor, formerly of Maquoketa, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at the manor.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Emma Thillen was born Sept. 30, 1916, east of Andrew. She married Edwin Mohr in 1938 in Lost Nation. They had farmed in Clinton County and owned and operated Emma’s Café in Grand Mound for 10 years. After that, she was employed as a cook at Grand Mound schools for several years. He died in 1994.
Memorials may be made to Little Shepherd Pre-School or First Lutheran Church, Maquoketa.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Levsen, Calamus, and Judy Johnson, Delmar; son, Alan, Maquoketa; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
