1923 - 2003

Services for Burton "Burt" C. King, 79, DeWitt, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, with military services by Eugene McManus American Legion Post 238.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
He died Friday, Jan. 3, 2002, at home.
He was born March 6, 1923, in Goff, Kan. He married Selma Holst in 1945 in Herkimer, Kan.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He worked as a pharmacist at Scott Drug, DeWitt, until opening his own pharmacy, King’s Pharmacy, DeWitt, which he operated until retirement in 1995.
A memorial fund has been established.
Surviving are his loving wife, Selma; a son, Gregory King, DeWitt; a daughter, Sharon Green, Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Frank King, Tucson, Ariz.
