George Diesing 11/18/1998 MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Services for George H. Diesing, of Maquoketa, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Carson & Son Funeral Home, Maqoketa. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Diesing died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at his home in rural Maquoketa. He had worked at Clinton Engines and farmed in the Maquoketa area. He was born June 8, 1941, in Iowa City. He married Patricia DeHoet in 1963 in Zwingle. Memorials may be made to George H. Diesing Memorial Fund. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Dorinda Diesing, Davenport, Dixie Recker, Hiawatha, and Jodi Diesing, Coralville; sons, Kevin, Bettendorf, Randy, Maquoketa, and Joel, Marion; a half sister, Bonnie NcNames, Byron, Ill.; brothers, John Jr., Gilbert, Ariz., and Virgil, Marion; and a half brother, Donald Jenkins, Salisbury, Mo.
