Lucinda Carpenter 11/09/1998 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Lucinda H. Carpenter, of Clinton, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cannon Funeral Home, Clinton, and 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Carpenter died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at Samaritan Hospital North, Clinton. She retired in 1980 after working for 21 years in the dietary department at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Clinton. Lucinda Schmidt was born May 4, 1915, in Preston. She married Harry E. Carpenter in 1936 in Preston. He died in 1997. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include daughters, Wanda Peters, Norwalk, Ohio, and Sabula, Carlota and Marcia Carpenter, both of Chicago, and Janell Ketelsen, Redfield; sons, Charles Carpenter, Clinton, and Kenneth Carpenter, Colorado Springs; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Malinda Sullivan, Preston.
