Sister Mary Dominica Coakley 10/27/1998 CLINTON, Iowa -- Sister Mary Dominica Coakley, OSF, of the Alverno Health Care Facility, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at Samaritan Hospital North, Clinton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Canticle Chapel, 841 13th Ave. North, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Canticle, third floor, with a Scripture service at 4 p.m. and rosary at 7 p.m. She taught middle and upper grades for 51 years. She taught six years at St. Patrick's School, Clinton, and in Tama, Hawarden, Varina, Epworth, Vail and Fonda, Iowa; in Illinois at Toluca, Macomb, Oak Lawn and Chicago; and in Chino, Calif. She retired in 1982. She was born Oct. 2, 1900, in Utica, Ill. Sister entered the Order of St. Frances in 1917 and professed her final vows in 1922 at Mount St. Clare Convent, Clinton. Memorials may be made to the Order of St. Frances. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
