HEALLESS, Helen M.
Helen M. HEALLESS, 91, of Bluff Terrace, formerly of 3006 N. Third St., died today at the home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wayne BRINKMANN officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael and Ted HEALLESS, David and Larry HOOVER, Robert KOENES, Brian and Steven VOGEL. She was born Feb. 2, 1907, in Clinton, to Iver and Karen JACOBSEN BERTELSEN. She married Merrill HEALLESS, July 8, 1926, in Dubuque. He died in 1994.
She graduated from Clinton High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and St. John’s sewing circle.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley HOOVER, Alice KOENES, and Mrs. Jean (Howard) VOGEL all of Clinton; a son, Tex HEALLESS of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters.
