GEFFERS, Minnie
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in at Grace Luthern Church, DeWitt, for Minnie D. GEFFERS, 95, of DeWitt.
She died Sunday at Westwing Place.
The Rev. Ronald H. GOODSMAN will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenny GEFFERS Jr., Randy GEFFERS, Greg ALM, Jerry GLUESING, Bryan STARR and Clinton RICHMOND.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ion and Seth ANDERSON, Ryan GEFFERS, Kurt and Carl Alm and Mike GLUESING.
She was born Jan 9, 1903, in Charlotte, to John and Mary HOLST MEGGERS, She married Hugo GEFFERS, Feb 8, 1923, in Clinton. He died April 17, 1973.
They farmed in the Bliedorn area, moving to DeWitt in 1948.
She taught Sunday School in the Bliendorn Church, was a 50 year member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, and its sewing circle and the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include a son, Delbert GEFFERS of Clinton; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son two sisters and four brothers .
