ERVIN, Chester R.
Chester R. ERVIN, 85 , of 1214 S. Third St., died Monday at Samaritan Hospital North.
A graveside service will be l p.m. Thursday at Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha, Wis. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
He was born Feb 10, 1913, in Savanna, Ill., to Chester and Jennie DAVIS ERVIN. He married Violet BUTZ, May 31, 1974, in Clinton. She died Sept 11, 1988.
He was educated in the Kenosha schools.
He had been employed with Snap-On Tools in Kenosha, with Kleinscbmidt Laboratories in Deerfield, Ill., and Collis Co. in Clinton for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elaine (Merrill) BYERS of Upland, Ind.; a son, Gary ERVIN of Fair Oaks, Calif.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lester ERVIN of Dellwood, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and brother and sisters.
Death date: June 8, 1998.
