DUNN, Kenneth
Kenneth J. DUNN, 65, of 1515 3rd Ave., died Monday at his home.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of Visitation in Camanche with the Rev. Louis MULLIGAN officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church where a 7 p.m. vigil service will be conducted. Inurnment will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Camanche.
Pallbearers will be Dick SARTWELL, Vic WINKELMANN, Tim SACHSENMAIER Sr., Deana PETERS, Jim WILLIAMS and Ki KANDYBOWICZ.
Mr. DUNN was born Jan 10, 1930, in Clinton, to John F. and Theresa M. BANOWETZ DUNN. He married Judith WISOR, Feb 19, 1955 in Clinton. He was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, where he was a senior class president.
He was a veteran of the Korean Was serving with the United States Army.
He was county assessor and farmed the family farm in Clinton County retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the Church of the Visitation, which he designed and helped build, served as a trustee and ran the Bingo program. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 363 of Clinton, and a member of the Tallman Lewis V.F.W. Post No 9664 in Camanche.
He served as county committeeman for the F.A.F.C., on the Clinton Board Review and statistician for the Iowa Department of Argiculture, on the Clinton County Extension Board, and on the Clinton County Farm Bureau, and was a 4-H leader. He enjoyed visiting with people.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) EHRHART, and Mrs. Andrew (Kathleen) LINDER, both of Clinton; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Don (Kathleen) SCHOENING of Thomson; and two brothers, Donald of DeWitt, and David of Industry, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Death date: Dec. 18, 1995.
