CLINTON — Suzanne S. Gruenwald, 75, of Clinton died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3rd, at the Pape Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 4th, at Oak View Cemetery in Albia, Iowa. Suzanne was born in Winona, MN, the daughter of John E. and Florence Eschbach Stevens. She graduated from Muscatine High School. She attended Cornell College and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics from the University of Iowa in 1955. Suzanne married John Donald Gruenwald on August 13, 1956, in Muscatine. She was a member of PEO. Suzanne was very artistic and enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bridge and traveling. She was an accomplished seamstress and gourmet cook. Suzanne is survived by her children; Barbara (her husband Randy) Nease of Chicago, IL; their children, Nicole, Matthew and Zachery; Trish (her husband Dan) Wanamaker of Palatine, IL; David (his wife Melissa) Gruenwald of Lewisville, TX and Sarah (her husband Todd) Beneke of Coralville, IA. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Estey of West Union, IA and her brother, John C. Stevens of Muscatine, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
