DANVILLE, Ill. — Bernita Jean Steinbeck Mac Arthur passed away May 9, 2008 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville., Ill. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date in Preston, Iowa.She was born June 7, 1912 to the late Fred and Lena Steinbeck of Preston, Iowa. She graduated from Preston High School and attended the Methodist Church in Preston and United Methodist Women before moving to Danville, Ill.She had two brothers, Rolland Steinbeck (Ruth) of Clinton, Iowa and Wayne Steinbeck of Los Angles, Calif. Both are deceased. Bernita and Walter L. (Jack) Mac Arthur were married in Clinton, Iowa, and had two children, Sharon Black (Bill) of Danville, Ill. and Bruce D. Mac Arthur (Pam) of Clinton, Iowa, four grandchildren, Debbie Alexander (Scott) of Greenville, NC, Douglas B. Black (Dee Dee) of Normal, Ill., Andrea Mac Arthur Erickson (Mark) of St. Charles, Mo., and Whitney Mac Arthur Laurion (Dale) of Clinton, Iowa, and nine great-grandchildren.Death date: May 9, 2008
