Services for Ross W. Abbott, of Camanche, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory, Camanche. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Abbott died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. He had worked for 43 years in the maintenance department at DuPont. He also had worked in the maintenance department at Samaritan Health Systems, Clinton. Mr. Abbott was born March 21, 1930, in Whiteside County, Ill. He married Phyllis Lanphere in 1953 in Clinton. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include his wife; sons, David Abbott, Cameron, N.C., and Rick Abbott, Camanche; one granddaughter; a sister, Judy Hoxtell, Minneapolis; and brothers, Donald Abbott, Albany, Ill., and Neal Abbott, Clinton.
