Joe M. COULTER, 84, of 1125 Fourth Ave. North, died today at Samaritan Hospital North.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert G. SHAFER officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory, and from 1:30 until the service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be all grandsons, Matt, Mark, Brandand, Joel RAFFERTY, Scott DIERKS and Jon GOODELL.
He was born June 15, 1914, in Lockesburg, Ark., to Charles and Rosa REA COULTER. He married Alma D. DENNIS, Jan 32, 1935 in Monticello, Ark. She died Feb 3, 1990.
He attended school in Arkansas.
He had be a resident of Clinton since 1941.
He had been employed as an operator with Du Pont for more tan 30 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Clinton Historical Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Lou (Darrell) PARKER of Clinton, and Mrs. Mary (Tom) RAFFERTY of Wheaton, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
Death date: July 17, 1998.
