CLINTON — Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Beverly J. Lundquist, 73, of Clinton to His Heavenly home on Friday, April 25, 2008, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Funeral services to Celebrate the Life of Bev will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Clinton Church of Christ with Rev. Ken Greeley officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Persell, Denny Bernett, Brian Bernett, Nick Leis, Chris Persell, and Eldo Krebs. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kari Leis, Alexa Persell, Kaylea Davis, Sadie Leis and Aida Bernett. Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 2008, from 3:00-8:00 pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Beverly Jean Twyford was born on May 30, 1934, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William and Pauline (Breckling) Twyford, Sr. She married Marvin Lundquist on May 1, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa. Bev enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ and the Clinton Citizens Police Alumni. She also enjoyed taking her grandchildren to play bingo at The Friendly House.Bev’s family will always remember her love of life and her beautiful smile. Some of her favorite things she enjoyed doing were scrapbooking, writing in her “Precious Memories” family tree book, cooking for her family; going to church and listening to music. She was always kind, giving, caring, and loving to everyone. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren! She filled their lives with laughter, love and endless hugs and kisses. All of her family will have “precious memories” that will last a lifetime. She is survived by her husband, Marvin of Clinton; three daughters, Deborah (Denny) Bernett of Sparta, Wisconsin, Connie Davis of Eldridge, Iowa, Sandra (Jeff) Persell of Bettendorf, Iowa; five grandchildren, Brian Bernett, Kari (Nick) Leis, Chris Persell, Alexa Persell, and Kaylea Davis; two great-grandchildren, Aida Bernett and Sadie Leis. And a very special niece, Lori Boerema of Clinton. She was preceded to his Heavenly home by her parents, one grandson Alex Persell, one brother, and one sister.The family requests that memorials be made to the Clinton Church of Christ or the Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni.
