Lee funeral is Friday

CLINTON -- Wilbur Lee, 73, of Clinton, died Tuesday at Mercy North Hospital, Clinton.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory with the Rev. Kenneth Greeley officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 0 a.m. until the time of the service Friday.

Pallbearers will be Denny A. Lannan, Ed Shockey, Herald Nelson and Eldo Krebs.

He was born Aug. 28, 1930, in Elmo, Mo., to wilbur and Hester Brown Lee. He married Bertha Meritt on June 25, 1949, in Elmo. She died in 1995. He later married Carolyn Stobie on Sept. 24, 1998.

He graduated from Maryville (Mo.) High School.

He worked with Chemplex in Clinton.

He was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ, the Clinton Lions Club, Camanche Historical Society, a former member of the Clinton Izaak Walton League and a former Boy Scout Leader.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lee of Clinton, a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn (Denny A.) Lannon of Barstow, Ill.; a son, Donavon Keith Lee of Wasilla, Ala.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a brother and a sister.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Clinton Church of Christ or to the family.
